As I write this article, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is cleaning up a broken water main disaster. Twenty million gallons of drinking water were flowing down the street and lost for use by the residents. The daily requirement for Los Angeles is 550,000,000 gallons per day. As of January this year you documented your fleet and planed for the investments to stay compliant as well as grow your business. The current timeline from CARB is out to 2023. The CARB has an emissions goal to 2050; they have not formed any regulations. You are “safe” from the CARB until 2023 – maybe.

“Whoever desires constant success must change his conduct with the times.” - Niccolo Machiavelli

I drove to Las Vegas for World of Concrete from Sacramento along SR 99 in January. On road trips I like to look at the contractor rental yards and dealer displays as what they have and how much gives some indication of what they project for the coming year their customers will want.
